This is one that could be put up for argument, but in my mind this is one of the more exciting weeks as a sports fan.
Tomorrow is the culmination of a season of professional football with the SuperBowl, pitting the Indianapolis Colts against the New Orleans Saints. Manning vs Brees. potential dynasty vs first time championship visitor. Archie Manning's son vs Archie Manning's old team.
Who am I rooting for? Not a particular team this year. I am hoping for a fun, entertaining and high scoring game.
This week also marks the beginning of Speed Week in Daytona leading up to the Daytona 500 in NASCAR. Qualifying is going on this weekend (sandwiched in between is Danica Patrick's stock car debut in the ARCA/ReMax series), then Thursday is the Twin 125 qualifying races. Sunday is the granddaddy of all stock car races.
And how can I forget the Winter Olympics in Vancouver. I am a major Winter Olympiad geek, ready to watch hockey, skiing, snowboarding, luge, speed skating and figure skating. The best in the world gathering for two weeks to determine who really is the best of all.
For some it's March Madness, others its college bowl week. Hands down this week is the most exciting.
