Greg Howes named MISL MVP, Tozer named Coach of the Year

Milwaukee Wave forward Greg Howes notched another post season honor today by being named the 2007-08 MISL Most Valuable Player. This marks the third time that "the Howitzer" nabbed the MVP award, named for legendary indoor soccer player Hector Marinaro.

In addition to the MVP award, Howes will be honored at Saturday night's MISL Championship Final as the PUMA Scoring Champion for the 2007-08 season, the fourth time for this honor in his career.

Wave head coach Keith Tozer was named the MISL's Coach of the Year for the sixth time in his legendary career. Tozer is the winningest coach in indoor soccer history and has just completed his 16th season at the helm of the Milwaukee Wave.

Other award winners announced:
Rookie of the Year: Frederico Moojen (New Jersey Ironmen)
Goalkeeper of the Year: Sagu (Baltimore Blast)
Defender of the Year: Genoni Martinez (La Raza de Monterrey)

The 2007-08 MISL Championship will be played Saturday night at the US Cellular Arena with the 3rd seed Baltimore Blast taking on the 4th seeded La Raza de Monterrey.
